WHO AM I?

My name is Conor McGuinness, a U.K. artist based in Knutsford, Cheshire. Selling my original artwork and commissions all over the world. 

WHAT DO I DO?

I’m a professional artist, I create and build all my artwork to fit in your space as perfectly as possible. I work with absolute passion to please my clients. All paintings are 100% original and have never done a print. Everything you see is painted, designed and built with passion by me. 

WHY DO I DO IT?

I work every single day to create the best product that I can. I believe the best way to buy art is from the artist themselves, I am involved in 100% of the process. Your journey on buying art should be enjoyable and stress free. I believe in pushing the boundaries and rarely declining any request, artwork on your walls should be personal and you should know where it has come from.

MY JOURNEY SO FAR..

Art has always been my passion as far as I can remember. I went on to study Fine Art at GCSE and A-Level. Although this was a great start I never saw a future with my artwork as I didn’t know anyone doing it “full time” - so I went off and studied Business Management at University. 

Fast forward two years, I ended up in the Demolition world. Knocking buildings in central Manchester.. 

In 2019 I was really unhappy with where my life was going. So I decided to take some time out and off I went to Thailand.. for a year. 

Whilst in Thailand I had time to reflect on what I really wanted to do with my life, the whole time I would be drawing, painting and creating in my spare time. Trying to figure out what I wanted to do, little did I know it was right in front of me the whole time. 

I spent most of my time there not on the beach, but learning how to build websites, brand building & social media. Still unaware of what I was going to do with these skills, I knew they’d be valuable when pursuing my ambition of being self employed.

It was time to head home… in my suitcase was clothes, paintbrushes and a laptop. I moved in with my parents and decided to paint in their shed whilst looking for jobs. Eventually I had 20+ pieces of artwork whilst working part time doing-up property. 

One day it clicked. Maybe I should try and sell some of my artwork to keep me going until I get a full time job…

I set up an Instagram account and displayed my artwork for people to see. Within two weeks I had sold all my paintings. This was my eureka moment. My passion for business and art had come together and it was right in front of me the whole time. 

My love for entrepreneurship, art, business & pushing the boundaries had finally come together. On the 1st of January 2021 I decided to take my art career full time. 

In the first year I hosted 4 pop up shops, lots of collaborations, a residency in an Art Gallery, met some amazing people and have sold 300+ paintings locally and all over the world. I used all the money I made to put back into my business and still do. 

I now (2024) have my own showroom in the heart of Altrincham, a large art studio in the countryside of Cheshire. I work with some of the U.K.'s finest interior designers and collaborate with luxury furniture stores. I regularly send artwork all over the world and have been commissioned by some of the most highly respected business owners in the world. Still, my favourite thing to do is work one to one with clients to create personal artwork for them (commission information).

This was only possible as I dedicate every day, morning to evening to my work and look after every single client… and still do.
